We have equivalents to states or provinces, but whatever I enter, this form keeps saying "You must provide a valid State/Province". I leave in France and we normally do not use state/province when entering address, so for us this field is useless. Unfortunately, it prevents me to move on to the payment section...

Which order form are you using? Is it to buy one of the reports, like our SEO Report or Keyword Report, or is it for a My UrlTrends Plan? I think you hitting a bug of some sort, because when you can manually type in a state/province, we do very little checking to make sure it is valid, just that the characters look right.

I'm trying to order SEO keyword report but was never able to complete the transaction (paypal or credit card is OK, even if it seems I have to do it twice) as I'm stucked at the address screen, claiming an error in the state/province input that we normally don't use in our national forms...

The only requirements on the province/state field is that it must be alphabetic and 3 character long. We do not verify the state in France. We are looking to make it shorter than three characters, but it hasn't been pushed live yet. Have you tried to make it 3 or more alphabetic characters? Our testing has shown that it worked for us, as long as there were 3 or more alphabetic characters.

First of all, when your website decides the state/province is not valid, it resets the country as well so you have 2 fields to re-enter at each attempt. Secondly, I tried 3 letters (capital, small letter, whatever) or more, nothing is working... When I enter again the country, it remembers the last state I wrote, but whatever I enter, it never lets me in. Can't you remove this state/province check which again is useless for France (and probably a lot of countries as well which are not as bog as USA) ?

I am having a programmer look into this again. We need to know exactly what you are putting in each field so that we can replicate it and fix it. Please send me a private message with that information as soon as you have a moment to do so. Thank you for your help in locating this issue.

I believe that this has now been resolved. The state/province field now only requires 1 alphanumeric character. We are still looking at the option of it not being required, but currently our credit card processor requires it. If/when they change this on their end, we will enable the option to not include the state/province form field. You can use "Not Applicable" for this field if you don't have a state and it should still allow you to continue.

Hi, again, I'm trying to order a report but I'm still blocked at this State/province check. I have a screen copy available, please give me your email address in order to see it, may be this can help... Also, when I order a report, I choose the payment method (for instance Paypal), click on Next, it brings me back again to the payment method selection, click on Next, goes to Paypal, sign into Paypal, brings me back to the payment method etc... Starts to get frustating ;-)

Does your country not have equivalents to states or provinces? That field is free form, except for a few cases, like USA, Canada, Australia, United Kingdom and Spain. You should be able to enter your state equivalent. If you do not have any States or Provinces in your country, then we will need to reevaluate that field. If this is the case, what country are you in?
